Endodontics is the endodontic treatment best known as “tooth devitalization”. This type of treatment is indicated whenever the pulp (nerve) of the tooth is affected, either by caries or trauma. Cold and/or hot pain, as well as pain when chewing, are often symptoms that the tooth needs to undergo this type of treatment. Endodontics performed by our clinical staff are performed using magnifying equipment for better detection of the problem as well as its resolution. We resort to the use of magnifying loupes as well as microscopes so that the endodontic result has the expected result.
What does the treatment consist of?
Endodontic treatment consists of disinfecting the root canal system of the affected tooth and subsequently performing a hermetic sealing of the same, so that the tooth remains in the mouth, without pain and without associated infection.
Is endodontics a painful treatment?
Today, we have techniques and materials at our disposal that allow us to perform the entire treatment painlessly and in a more comfortable way for the patient. The use of absolute isolation is an asset, allowing the treatment to be carried out in a safer way.
What is the importance of treatment?
Endodontic treatment is indicated in situations where the sensitive part of the tooth is affected, being the last resort to keep the tooth in the mouth and healthy.
